Flavours of Pakistan Pop UP

February 20th
Flavours of Pakistan Pop UP

Join us on Thursday February 20th as Chefs, Sajid Ali & Sebastien Lajoye celebrate the rich flavours & cuisine of Pakistan with a unique Food Pop Up at Bodega Restaurant.

Incorporating elements from neighbours - India, Afghanistan & Iran, Pakistani food is an exotic blend of Indian, Far Eastern & Middle Eastern cooking, creating a distinctive mix of complex flavours. You will recognise the names of some of the dishes, but the cooking techniques & the use of spicing are unique to Pakistan.

Sajid Ali is a very welcome addition to the Bodega team, being genuinely one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is from Lahore and has been in Ireland for five years.  He learned to cook from his father who was also a chef.

He cooked a traditional dish for the staff in Bodega one night and we were blown away.  We thought it would be lovely idea to have a Pop Up night, where Sajid could cook some authentic simple Pakistani Food.

We are really lucky to have a fantastic team of chefs, from different countries, each with their own unique experience and techniques.  We are hoping to have a series of Pop Ups celebrating food from each chef's home country & region.

This is a casual and relaxed night, celebrating Pakistani food, served in a simple & rustic way, bringing something a bit different to the Waterford Restaurant Scene, using the best of local ingredients as always.  2 courses, a starter and a main courses will cost €23 and booking is advised.  You'll have a choice of 2 starters and 3 main courses, with one Vegetarian option for each.

To BOOK call 051 844177 or book a table on the website mentioning the Pakistani Night.
