New January Menu & opening hours

New January Menu & opening hours

Bodega is reopening on Friday 28th January with new opening hours.  Following a long period of disruption due to Covid 19, we are finally getting back to something resembling normality.

We would really like to thank our loyal and kind customers, who supported us in the many weird & wonderful enterprises we came up with during this time.

From a completely new kitchen, Sebastien & the team have created a new menu full of new & old dishes.   There are some lovely new starters, including a delicate Castletownbere salad with seasonal apple, and cucumber & horseradish gazpacho.  As always, we wanted to use produce from the locality and make it the hero of the dish.  For instance for beef capaccion lovers, we are using O'Flynn's Butchers wonderful fillet to create a new starter.  The beef is rolled in crushed peppercorn & salt and then thinly sliced, topped with the classic Meditteranean flavours of truffle oil, rocket & parmesan.  It's a Meditteranean classic, but with wonderful Waterford Beef Fillet.

There are new main courses of celeriac & baby carrot risotto, for the Vegetarian or non vegetarian.  Made with parmesan & mascarpone, this dish remains light and full of flavour, with a sherry vinegar caramel providing a lovely contrast of slight sweetness & potato rosti for texture.

Local seafood is never forgotten and with our mains of hake with samphire, mussels & light curry veloute, Monkfish & chips or prawn linguini, there's plenty for the seafood lover to enjoy. And there are also the daily seafood specials.

The full dinner menu is available to view here https://bodegawaterford.com/en/dinner/a_la_carte_menu  For bookings, call 051 844177 and leave a message and we will call back, or go online where you can book a table through our online booking sytem Opentable.

Anyway, that's all for now.  We are looking forward to seeing you all.
